Over the years, I’ve tried almost every type of non-dairy milk from soy to almond, coconut to macadamia, and now, I’ve finally found a favorite: Oat Milk. Thanks to the Better Body Foods team for sending over the Oatsome Chocolate flavored Oat Milk to try. Below are some ideas on ways to enjoy Oatsome Oat Milk.
Oatsome is creamy, tastes great, is naturally sweet, and is gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, and USDA organic. Since it’s organic, it doesn’t contain Glyphosate – the main herbicide in weed killing products around the world.
It pairs really well in a protein shake, smoothie, or in coffee (as pictured above). It’s also great in oatmeal, cereal, scrambled eggs, granola or even on its own straight from the glass. The plain version (pictured below), would be delicious in an iced Matcha Latte. Oatsome is also great for baking and you can use it just as you would with any other cream.
For hot days, you can use Oatsome to make ice cream or even popsicles. For ice cream, follow the simple recipe below, and reminder you’ll need an ice cream maker:
- 4 cups oat milk
- 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup of honey
- Pinch of sea salt
Simply bring the ingredients to a boil using medium heat and whisk to avoid burning. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 5-8 minutes. Let the mixture cool and place it onto your ice cream maker.
