Bringing a new level to the Korean-inspired menu, Kinn expertly executes on many aspects of the prix-fixe menu.  First, it is a bargain prix-fixe at $95 for seven menu items. Second, the tiny restaurant is located in a nondescript stretch of 6th Street. Just trust Google maps has taken you to the right location and there is valet parking in the lot behind the restaurant.  Lastly, Kinn uses seasonal ingredients in new ways, weaving in a Korean point of view throughout. You’ll recognize perilla leaves, bulgogi, bibimbap – but don’t expect your K-town BBQ version of bulgogi or any of the other dishes as mentioned in the brief menu.

The summer menu started with a light and delicious Corn and Scallop that perfectly married the sweetness of the corn with the sweet and fresh scallops.  The Crispy Octopus was both tender and crispy in the yummies way, and the refreshing Watermelon Hwachae was perhaps the most complicated of the dishes and a perfect way to end the meal.  Each dish is so tasty that you wish the portions were bigger but at seven courses, you will definitely leave the restaurant full.  Try to get a seat at the bar (particularly at the short end) where you can watch the small kitchen in action. As I mentioned, the menu is seasonal so be sure to book a table through Resy for each new season.
