The Vans Warped Tour returned to Long Beach on July 25 and 26, 2026 drawing thousands of music fans of all ages for a weekend packed with live performances, crowd surfing, mosh pits, and nonstop nostalgia.

With temperatures climbing into the summer heat and cell service nearly impossible to use, attendees did something rare AF: they actually unplugged and lived in the moment. Instead of staring at their phones, fans packed the barricades, sang every lyric, and sprinted from stage to stage trying to catch as many bands as possible.

Having attended Warped Tour several times growing up, returning as media felt like a full-circle moment. The festival still captures the same energy that made it legendary, bringing together multiple generations of punk, ska, emo, hardcore, alternative, and rock fans all in the same spot, but with higher prices (thanks to inflation).

Day 1

Saturday’s lineup delivered hit after hit as fans packed every stage throughout the festival.

We caught Yelawolf, whose performance of “Till It’s Gone” had the crowd singing every word. Other standout performances throughout the day included:

• Reel Big Fish
• Hoobastank
• Phantom Planet
• Bowling for Soup

Honestly, one of my favorite highlights was watching The Ataris performing “The Boys of Summer” and hearing the crowd singing in unison.

Day 2:

Day two was even more packed than Day 1 consisting of even more classic bands that brought us back to our childhood.

We watched Lagwagon, MxPx, Taking Back Sunday, Silverstein, and Jimmy Eat World, with every band bringing veteran stage presence and crowd interaction. Mosh pits formed in seconds, thousands of fans screamed every lyric, a constant barrage of crowd surfers gently rode the human wave all the way to the front of the stage, and the energy never slowed down. Parents and kids crowd surfed and the energy was hyped.

The Warped Tour Museum

One of the festival’s coolest attractions was the Warped Tour Museum, which celebrated decades of festival history through memorabilia, artifacts, and pieces of Warped Tour’s legacy.

Overall, the Warped Tour was a nostalgic walk through one of punk rock’s most influential touring festivals.

Punk Rock & Paintbrushes

Another standout stop was Punk Rock & Paintbrushes, showcasing painted guitars, original artwork, and memorabilia created by musicians and artists from across the punk rock community.

The exhibit blended music and visual art while highlighting the creativity that has always been part of the punk scene.

Festival Food

No festival is complete without food, and Warped Tour offered plenty of options.

Attendees could choose from food trucks and vendor booths serving tacos, Filipino fried chicken, Al Forno’s Pizza, corn dogs, churros, frozen lemonade, turkey legs, and much more.

Festival pricing was comparable to Disneyland, if not slightly higher. I tried the $22 Italian sausage hot dog. It was a bit dry, but after hours in the sun, it definitely hit the spot.

The frozen lemonade also became a lifesaver in the sweltering afternoon heat.

Know Before You Go

If you’re planning to attend a future Warped Tour, here are a few tips:

• Arrive early because the festival gets extremely hot on the concrete.
• Stay hydrated and take advantage of the free water refill stations. (We refilled our frozen lemonade cup with water and it was refreshing AF)
• Bring sunscreen. Obviously.
• Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll easily walk several miles throughout the day. (We easily clocked over 10k steps each day).
• Download the Vans Warped Tour app and take screenshots of the bands you want to see and which stage they’re performing. (Screenshots help when cell service is down).
• Bring a clear bag that meets stadium event requirements.
• Expect little to no cell service once the festival fills up, so designate meeting spots with your friends ahead of time.
• Be prepared for crowd surfers flying overhead

Is VIP Worth It?

In our opinion, yes.

The VIP upgrade offers significantly more shade, exclusive food and beverage areas, and air-conditioned restroom trailers instead of portable toilets.

After spending hours under the summer sun, those amenities quickly became worth the extra cost.

Final Thoughts

Warped Tour proved that its legacy is alive and well.

While the weekend delivered plenty of memorable performances, the festival experience was not without challenges. The intense heat, limited shade, premium food prices, and virtually nonexistent cell reception made planning and communication difficult. Attendees should expect to spend much of the day on exposed concrete, stay close to the water refill stations, and establish meeting points before separating from their group.
