Knowlwood Restaurant, located in Irvine, CA, is an American food eatery serving sandwiches, hot dogs, burritos, and breakfast since 1957. There’s a reason it’s a classic and we recommend this restaurant.

After a day of exploring Great Park, we worked up an appetite and found Knowlwood as it had great reviews on Yelp and Google. This restaurant caught our eye due to its menu. The truck inside of the restaurant, along with a Statue of Liberty made for great photo ops.

The Food

I ordered the Tuna Melt, which came with a dill pickle on the side. The sandwich was hearty and filling, seasoned nicely and had a great cheese pull.

My brother ordered a hot dog and chili cheese fries. He finished both dishes and my brother Sean, ordered the French Dip sandwich, with a side of fried mushrooms.

We all cleaned our plates.

The drinks at this restaurant were on the sweet side, so I almost wish I got water or unsweetened tea instead. My brothers also shared the same sentiment where they ordered lemonade as well.

The Ambiance and Décor

The indoor décor is awesome and the ambience is a sports bar vibe. Prices are reasonable and its location is ideal if you’re visiting Great Park down the street.

Overall, this restaurant was great. Our bill came out to be $46.94 for three meals complete with three fountain drinks. If you’re interested in eating at this restaurant, they’re located at: 14952 Sand Canyon Ave, Irvine, CA 92618
