Gift Guide: SideTrak Swivel Portable Monitor

In the age of remote work, portable monitors offer a range of benefits for laptop users. Not only do they improve productivity and comfort, but they also make it easier to work from anywhere. If you know of anyone looking to create a more productive workspace, a portable monitor is definitely worth considering as a gift. We’ve tried and tested the SideTrak Swivel, which makes for a great gift for students, remote workers, or business travelers.

The SideTrak Swivel is a $339.99 12.5″ portable monitor, which allows laptop users to spread their work across two screens. The screen rotates 270° & swivels 360° with a built-in kickstand, adjustable brightness, and screen auto-rotation. It’s compatible with Windows, Mac, and Chrome operating systems.

The SideTrak Swivel is useful for multitasking and reduces the need to constantly switch between different programs and windows. Additionally, the extra screen space makes it easier to view large documents, compare multiple documents side by side, and view multiple windows at once. Having a larger screen can increase the time it takes to work on certain projects.

Pros:

The product is lightweight, plug and play, easy to set up, easy to transport and can be used as a vertical or horizontal monitor. The device definitely extends your current monitor. You can also duplicate screens and use the portable monitor to show clients or coworkers your work.

Cons:

The price seems a bit steep, especially in this current climate where thousands of employees have been laid off.

While you have the option to stick the monitor to a laptop for easy installation, I preferred to use the monitor as a free standing device with both my personal and work laptops, so I didn’t use the adhesive that came in the box.

Where to Buy:

You can buy the product on Amazon or from the company’s website.
