IGN Entertainment To Stream 2017 D.I.C.E. Summit and 20th D.I.C.E. Awards Exclusively


IGN Entertainment announced it’s partnering with the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences to live stream the 2017 D.I.C.E. Summit and the 20th D.I.C.E. Awards, held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
IGN will livestream the 2017 D.I.C.E. Summit beginning Wednesday, February 22nd. Kicking off the livestream at 10:00 AM PT will be keynote speaker, Jeff Kaplan, Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment. Kaplan’s talk will focus on Blizzard’s massive hit Overwatch, IGN’s 2016 “Game of the Year” winner. The summit will stream for two days, showcasing every panel and keynote speakers, closing with the FACEIT Quakeworld Tournament Finals, Thursday, February 23rd at 4:00 PM PT.
Following the Summit, IGN will stream the 20th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, hosted by IGN alumni, Greg Miller of Kinda Funny and Jessica Chobot of Nerdist News. The awards kick off at 7:30 PM PT, live from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The D.I.C.E. Awards recognize games, individuals and development teams that have contributed to the advancement of the multi-billion dollar worldwide entertainment software industry. The D.I.C.E. Awards are the most credible, respected and recognized awards for the interactive entertainment community with voting cast by members of the Academy’s 33,000+ membership base.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences on an event of this caliber– this is the Oscars for video games,” said Wade Beckett, Chief Programming Officer for IGN. “To top it off, IGN is taking the Summit and Awards to new platforms like Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter for the very first time and bringing a global audience to the event.”

IGN will produce custom content specifically for Snapchat and will stream the 2017 D.I.C.E. Summit and Awards across all its featured platforms, including IGN.com, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Apple TV, Roku, PS4, Xbox One, PlutoTV and IGN’s mobile apps on iOS and Android.
In addition to the categorized awards, D.I.C.E. will be inducting Todd Howard, Executive Producer and Game Director at Bethesda Game Studios into the AIAS Hall of Fame. Howard will be the 22nd HOF inductee with the award being presented by his long-time colleague, Pete Hines, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing, Bethesda Softworks.
