Every year as part of L.A. Fashion Week, Project Ethos returns to showcase the hottest upcoming trends in music, fashion and art. The event is known to be a huge party consisting of live musical performances, back to back runway shows and art installations. This year’s event takes place at Avalon Hollywood (1735 Vine St Los Angeles, CA 90028) – on Tuesday, October 15th and tickets range anywhere from $20-$100. Get tickets here.

Runway show opening performances will be choreographed by Michael Silas (Lady Gaga) with fashion and art animation video by Miguel Bigs and Brittany Thurston.
When it comes to the live music performance, attendees will get to see YACHT, an L.A. based band who’s toured with LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service among others.
Additionally, the art gallery presented by Midori, the original melon liqueur, will feature local artists Matthew Bilfield, Miguel Big, Leah Devora, Brittany Thurston, Michael “Malafiura” Fontana, Chelsea Knight, C. Harvey Smith and Cutter Cutshaw while DJ Stubbs curates the tunes. Lab Art, the largest street art gallery in the nation will present three of their resident live artists, Mar (aka This Means Mar), Annie Preece and LeBa.
Looking back at past Project Ethos events, in 2010 we watched Bruno Mars perform live on the Project Ethos stage at the Music Box singing “Billionaire,” “Nothing On You” and even a Michael Jackson cover, “Dirty Diana.” At this show, we remember Bruno Mars as the new artist on the scene who just started getting airplay on 102.7’s KIIS-FM. In between songs, he told the audience he needed an agent and with his powerful vocals, it was clear that he was going to blow up. Flash forward a few years and Bruno Mars is a Grammy winning artist and is one of music’s most recognized voices singing hits like, “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” “The Lazy Song,” and his latest, “It Will Rain.” We’ll always remember him as Project Ethos’ breakout star.
In 2011, we saw the debut of Will.I.Am’s “I Am” fashion line and the debut of Pete Wentz’s musical project, Black Cards. See concert footage below courtesy of MrJor004 on Youtube:
Project Ethos never fails to deliver and throughout the years, the events have grown and it’s no wonder buyers are attracted to the event to see the latest in fashion.
