Tell us a little bit about your project and how long you’ve been working on it.
It is a self-produced movie. I began working on it about two years ago when I read the screenplay written by Sean Elwood, and I found it a very interesting and challenging project, a movie full of thrill and tension, but without ever seeing on the screen what’s happening. All is set in one room, and we see just one actor. It’s a mood and suspense based story. It was really interesting, funny and useful making it, and I’m sure it will be funny and pleasing to watch!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank for helping out with this film?
Yes sure! All actors: Paolo Capozzo, Nadia D’Amico, Elvio Barbati, Maurizio Picariello, Fabiana Russo and Giovanna Russo. Marco Ruggiero did a great job with all the audio recording and mixing and who wrote and recorded all the music. Mirco Sgarzi, the director of photography did an amazing job. Teresa de Gabriele did make up and Francesco and Salvatore graziano, for their help!

How does it feel to have your film part of the NewFilmmakers Screening at Sunset Gower Studios?
Well it is amazing! It is something I really didn’t expect. I’m sure it will be a great experience to be there and meet a lot of interesting and capable artists. I watched some trailers of shorts and features that have been and will be screened there and they are really well done!
What inspires you?
Everything! Sometimes, inspiration comes from situations you would never expect, or things that happen in my life, other than books, novels or other movies too.
Who are your influences and who do you admire?
There are a lot of great directors to look at and learn from and I try to get as much as I can from studying their movies. From the old Italian directors like Fellini or De Sica to the actual Hollywood directors, like Tim Burton (I like the look of his movies so much!), Peter Jackson, not to mention Spielberg, Cameron or Kubrick.
What is the toughest experience you’ve ever had to overcome?
Well, there are a lot of things to overcome especially for a low budget project like this one. Everything is thought to combine, from the days of filming (always less than needed) to unavailable locations, or very expensive things you need. But that’s good for me! That’s where you learn more, how to overcome those things. For example, I decided to use a great deal of green screen because I couldn’t find a real office I liked for the main location. It has been more difficult to film, but a great experience.
Where can we expect to see you next?
I don’t know yet, there are no more screening dates for now, but it’s not much time since we started screening the movie, so there will be more for sure, at least in Italy.
