The Universal Studios Backlot on “Wisteria Lane” was home to the Cystic Fibrosis charity event, which featured the cast of the hit TV show, “Desperate Housewives.” Attendees rubbed elbows with A-list celebrities and enjoyed complementary food, live entertainment, cocktails and participated in silent auctions. A portion of the proceeds from the event went towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
For those unaware, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955 and funds more CF research than any other organization. Every CF drug available was due to the Foundation’s support. The Foundation’s wide network includes more than 115 care centers, 50 affiliate programs, upwards of 75 chapters and offices nationwide. The Foundation also includes 95 adult care programs. For more information, make sure to check out http://www.cff.org.
If you missed the event, The Band From TV consisting of familiar on-screen actors, took the stage to rock out on instruments singing memorable cover songs. Band members included Greg Grunberg (HEROES)- Drums, Bob Guiney (GSN Host, ABC, TLC)-Vocals, James Denton (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES)-Guitar, Jesse Spencer (HOUSE MD)-Violin, Adrian Pasdar (HEROES)-Guitar, Scott Grimes (ER) Keyboards, Chris Kelley-Guitar, Barry Sarna -Keyboards, Brad Savage-Bass/Vocals and Jon Sarna-Percussion. Last year, we saw Jorge Garcia (LOST) grace the stage but he was not in attendance this year.
