Every year, Project Ethos showcases the hottest up and coming fashion designers, musicians and artists during Los Angeles Fashion Week. With their finger on the pulse of the latest up and coming trends, Project Ethos is evidently the show to attend and as proof, all you have to do is take a look at the lines outside each venue. Every event we’ve attended has been bigger and better than the last. This year, the event will be aired on ProjectEthos.tv to expand the event’s reach outside of Los Angeles.
“After holding events in cities throughout the west coast, we realized that our participants need more exposure than to what’s in their own back yard. ProjectEthos.tv is the answer and will reach a thousand times the people that an event can, creating a powerhouse direct-to-consumer model.” Jason Peskin – Founder and C.E.O.
This year, Project Ethos’ event is on March 13, 2012 at Avalon Hollywood (1735 Vine St Los Angeles, CA 90028) and features designers Danielle Pettee (Danielle the Dress Maker), Ermelinda Manos, Wen Guo (Boditecture), Melissa Velia (Melissa Velia), Janean Johnson (JaJo Couture), Regina Marie Woods (G. Marie), Edita Bandaryan (Edita Collection) and Johana Hernandez (GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez) will premiere their latest creations.
Looking back at past Project Ethos events, in 2010 Bruno Mars performed live on the Project Ethos stage at the Music Box singing “Billionaire,” “Nothing On You” and even a Michael Jackson cover, “Dirty Diana.” At this show, we remember Bruno Mars as the new artist on the scene who just started getting airplay on 102.7’s KIIS-FM. In between songs, he told the audience he needed an agent and with his powerful vocals, it was clear that he was going to blow up. Today, Bruno Mars is a Grammy winning artist that performed “Runaway” at this year’s award’s show and is one of music’s most recognized voices singing hits like, “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” “The Lazy Song,” and his latest, “It Will Rain.” We’ll always remember him as Project Ethos’ breakout star.
In 2011, we saw the debut of Will.I.Am’s “I Am” fashion line and the debut of Pete Wentz’s new project, Black Cards. See concert footage below courtesy of MrJor004 on Youtube:
Project Ethos never fails to deliver and throughout the years, the events have grown and it’s no wonder buyers are attracted to the event to see the latest in fashion.
