Escape the Fate fans will be glad to know that the rock band will release their first major label, self-titled album on November 2nd. In support of their new record, the band will hit the road with Bullet For My Valentine on September 16.
Escape the Fate consists of singer Craig Mabbitt, bassist Max Green, guitarist Monte Money and drummer Robert Ortiz. Green explains, “We’re making our mark on the world 100% through blood sweat and tears and so we felt we should set it in stone by self titling our album.”
The band’s first track, “Massacre,” premiered on MySpace and received over 200,000 page views within 48 hours. It is available on iTunes, and can be heard via: http://interscope.edgeboss.net/download/interscope/escapethefate/audio/massacre.mp3.
The track is a sneak peak, taste test for fans. Green said, “We chose “Massacre” as a street track for the fans because it is full force and us at our peak. Right out the gate it makes you wanna get up and break something!”
The band’s album was produced by Don Gilmore (Bullet For My Valentine, Linkin Park). If you’ve never heard Escape The Fate, they blend metal licks with pop melodies and combine it with soaring guitar solos and anthems. Fans can keep an ear out for the band’s first official single, “Issues,” as it hits radio waves this month.
“There are no more questions about who we are. This album is us, through and through,” says Monte Money. “Every member has grown, and we’re waving our flag. Welcome to fucking Escape The Fate.” Green adds, “Our record will be the cure for the modern day music epidemic. We are wiping the slate clean and re-writing rock music as you know it!”
