Talented musicians, celebrities, models and entrepreneurs celebrated the grand opening of Carlos Leon’s CML Studios Saturday night. The event consisted of a countdown to 10.10.10 featuring live performances by singer-songwriter Rae, Vice 45, Hybrid XL, Tony Sans and Xtreme Xplosion Dance Crew. Attendees watched a brief documentary about Carlos Leon’s business evolution from his humble beginnings in Orange County, to being listed as one of BusinessWeek’s “Best Entrepreneurs 25 and Under” in 2008 and finally, the launch of CML Studios.
“It feels great to finally have achieved my goal of launching a full fledged production studio and center after working for over 4 years. Last night I truly saw a dream I’ve had for several years become a reality before my eyes,” Leon said.

Of course, launching the studio was no easy feat. “The most difficult thing was definitely starting my company from scratch with no money, connections and very little knowledge about the industry. With hard work and dedication everything is possible,” Leon said.
Inside the production studio, which was converted into a club, over 200 attendees sipped on bottomless drinks from the open bar, danced and exchanged business cards throughout the night. Notable faces in attendance included Shane Sparks of MTV’s hit show America’s Best Dance Crew and Jarvis Anderson front-man of Iglu and Hartly.
