Last week, we tasted the Nitro Cold Brew from Hotbox Roasters, which was sent to us straight from the Rocky Mountains by Abby from the Hotbox Roasters team. Each 12 ounce can was packed with premium Arabica beans, 420mg of caffeine, and was perfect to drink on its own without needing to add sugar or milk. Who Created It?
Hotbox Roasters was created by Oskar Blues brewery founder Dale Katechis, who learned how to roast premium Arabica coffee beans in the back of the Colorado brewery.
The Taste Test
It was one of those mornings where I forgot to set the coffee machine to go off at 7am and I was already running late for work. Luckily, I had four cans of Hotbox Roasters cold brew in my fridge, thanks to Abby from the Hotbox Roasters team for sending it over. I grabbed a can and rushed out the door. As soon as I got into my car, I opened the can and took a sip. To my delight, it was bold, flavorful and delicious as is. I now keep a few cans at my desk and I must say, they are perfect for those after-lunch food comas.
