Horror fans gathered at The Los Angeles Convention Center on 9/14 and 9/15 for HorrorCon LA beginning at 2pm. The event drew crowds of all ages dressed in cosplay. The venue consisted of a variety of booths, entertainment areas, and even celebrities from classic horror movies and TV shows. This event was a horror fan’s dream and the cost was $31 for a 1-day ticket.

We enjoyed checking out all the booths with vendors selling horror movie wares, tote bags, keychains, stickers, and patches. Other vendors offered paintings, elaborate art, collectibles, unique T-shirts, psychic readings, makeup, masks, and custom horror dolls including Chucky and Annabelle, to name a few.

One of our favorite booths included the PhyzMed installation where you could buy a VHS tape for $13 and then watch it on one of the many TVs with the embedded VHS player attached. Films played on the TVs including Blade and Final Destination, among others.

Another highlight of the event was watching panels and coven dancers on the main stage.

There was also a beer garden offering themed drinks.

My favorite vendor was the Evil Lumpia booth. As a fellow Filipino, I thought the merch was awesome and it was created by a teenager.

Overall, HorrorCon LA was a fun event with a variety of vendors, actors, actresses and a horror lovers dream.
