The Chelsea Chowder House & Bar at the RMS Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, CA is a seafood and steak restaurant, ideal for special occasions. My friend Melissa and I made reservations before our 2-hour Paranormal Ghost Ship Walk Tour. This restaurant was delicious and we cleaned our plates and enjoyed our cocktails.

Upon arrival for our 5:45pm reservation, we were greeted with amazing ocean views and art deco 1930s decor. We ordered our drinks and they were strong and delicious. I ordered the $14 Sailaway with pineapple, tequila, cinnamon syrup, and lime. Melissa ordered the $16 Colonel Warden, a twist on an Old Fashioned, with a hint of vanilla.

For dinner, Melissa ordered the $46 Risotto with scallops, asparagus and peas. The dish was hearty and with every bite, the cheese pull looked amazing.

I ordered the 14 oz Filet Mignon ($46) and it came with a carrot puree, potatoes, and a basamic tomato. I cleaned my plate and my steak was medium rare, seasoned perfectly and the puree was a bit sweet.

Below is the menu which offers a variety of seafood dishes including clam chowder, salmon, fish and chips, Cioppino, oysters Rockefeller, seafood tower, calamari, and to name a few.

Overall, our dinner was amazing and everything was flavorful, seasoned to perfection, and the drinks were strong. Our bill came out to be $134 and I added a 20% tip. I give this restaurant a 10/10 for ambiance, decor, food, and drinks. Definitely consider it if you have a special occasion.

Below are some awesome shots of the Queen Mary from our visit.
