Portishead fans might be pleased to know that Beak>, the project spearheaded by former Portishead member Geoff Barrow, will be performing at Los Angeles’ Echoplex on February 12.
Beak>’s album >> is a blending of various genres and the variety instrumentation is reminiscent of Neu! and Ash Ra Tempel, but it also ventures into sludge-rock, post-punk, psychedaelia, laced with a bit of an old-school horror movie vibe. The band consists of Barrow, Billy Fuller and Matt Williams.
